Progress!

I had my 35 weeks 5 day appointment yesterday with the same OB that discharged Rylie and I from the hospital, she remembered Rylie and I, and it went well. I gained 1lb so I've gained 13 total so that puts my weight up to 164, blech LoL. In the mean time, Andy's lost 18lbs on the modified version of my diet (tailored for a man to lose weight) and he's at 200lbs for the 1st time in YEARS. While I'm insanely proud of him, it's totally not fair hahaha. Anyway, no sugar or protein in my urine and my blood pressure was great. They listened to his heart rate and it was in the 150's and she said he's still head down with his back on my left and feet on the right. She even tickled one of his feet and he moved LoL. She did my Group B Strep swab where they swab your girly bits and your butt (oh joy LoL) and then said that since I've been feeling a ton more pressure and it looks like he's VERY engaged she wanted to check my cervix. Well, I'm 1 centimeter dilated and 75% effaced!!!! I'm almost completely thinned out! She checked my chart and with Rylie at 40 weeks 5 days, WEEKS later, I was only 2 centimeters and 50% effaced... I'm already more effaced than what I was with Rylie! The best news I got was she told me I don't have to be induced because I'm controlling my blood sugars super well and as long as he doesn't start rapidly gaining weight, he will be allowed to come naturally... God works miracles LoL. She asked me how I felt about the induction and I told her all about what the epidural did last time and she remembered prescribing me the oxycodine percocet to take home and she couldn't believe that no one in the hospital recommended a blood patch. I told her that because of all the misery I went through I wanted to try and avoid the epidural to the best of my ability. I told her how my last inductions were only done with gel and if I could be guaranteed the same births I'd be all for induction but I know that can't be done. She agreed and said no 2 labors are alike and I'd hate for us to start with gel and for whatever reason have it not work, you need pit, then you *may* feel the need for any epi since pitocin contractions are crazy strong and bad for the baby and all of that could have been avoided in the first place if we hadn't induced since he's not too big at all and you're doing fine and we want you to be able to move around if you want, get in the shower to relax you, or just do whatever you need to ease labor with no meds and being confined in a bed is miserable and not what you want I'm sure... this is an OB, NOT a midwife! I was so shocked to hear those words and couldn't have been more excited!! Have I mentioned how much I love my practice and how naturally minded they are?! She even asked when #4 was coming... HA!!! So, I go back on the 13th since weekly appointments have started. I start evening primrose oil tablets tomorrow night and they should also help soften the cervix. I had some contractions after the exam and also lost more of my plug. Seth, you're only going to be 36 weeks tomorrow so you're not full term yet... please stay put till at least 37 weeks LoL. She said if he was born now he has a 99% chance of survival but that she wants him to bake till at least 37 weeks so his lung are more mature, he can use his sucking/swallowing skills (to avoid being fed through a tube), and to gain some good chub on him. She said he's about 5 to 5.5 lbs already. So, there's my update :)
